Count Exp
Does not going to boot camp still count as military exp? And does a RE-3 prevent me from going to Air Force?
When I was young I was in Recruit holding for the army. I ended up not going to boot camp, this was in 2005. I want to do the military now but just need some answers.
Does this count as me being in the military? IE if the AF recruiter asks should I say yes or no?
And secondly I have a RE-3 on these old papers for discharge. So can I join the AF with this?

You all are wrong…if he has a RE-code he is considered prior service regardless of if he passed basic or not. If you got a RE-code that means you have a dd 214 and you WERE discharged, so yes you were in.
The Air Force is not only NOT accepting prior service, but the chances of getting a RE-code waiver are virtually IMPOSSIBLE. The airforce won’t take anyone without a RE-code of 1 unless it is for one of the serverly undermanned jobs like PJ’s. The AF is downsizing and I would be willing to bet anything that you have absolutely no shot of getting in, and thats IF you found a recrutier that is willing to work with you, which you would be hard pressed to do because behind you they have 20 slam dunk contracts with much less work involved.
